The Total Joint Center opened in February 2006 to provide specialized orthopedic care for patients recovering from joint replacement surgeries in a patient-centered, healing environment. 

From pre-operative teaching through discharge to home, our healthcare team works with patients to ensure a successful joint replacement experience.  To best help patients prepare for their upcoming joint replacement surgery, our Joint Center Coordinator offers weekly pre-operative classes to familiarize patients with the expected plan of care. 

After surgery, patients recover in one of the Total Joint Center’s 7 private rooms and receive unit-based rehabilitation services.  After discharge, patients continue to receive rehabilitation services from one of several options.  The type of rehabilitation received depends upon the patient’s health status after surgery.
