Komen Grant Helps Fund Free Screenings at Bayhealth

Uninsured women in central and southern Delaware will receive free breast cancer screenings, thanks to a grant from Susan G. Komen for the Cure Philadelphia.  Komen recently awarded a $90,000 grant to the Bayhealth Cancer Institute for the grant year April 1, 2012 – March 31, 2013.  The funding will help pay for free screening mammograms, as well as diagnostic mammograms, ultrasound and biopsies for Bayhealth patients who are uninsured or underinsured.  Grant money will also help fund Bayhealth’s community outreach programs.
