Bayhealth has appointed Donna Henderson as the new Planetree Coordinator for Bayhealth Kent General and Milford Memorial.
In this newly created role, Henderson will help further develop Bayhealth’s Planetree model of patient-centered care. Planetree is a holistic approach to healing the mind, body and spirit and the model empowers patients through information and education, encourages more active participation by patients, and emphasizes healing partnerships among caregivers, patients, and their families.
Donna Henderson has served for 22 years at Bayhealth, serving as Supervisor of Admissions for 12 years and as Customer Service Facilitator for 10 years before being named Planetree Coordinator in 2012. Henderson earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Delaware State University. She is a native Delawarean, born at Kent General Hospital.
Henderson has served on the Delaware Humanities Council since 2008 and has been the group’s Executive Secretary since 2010. Henderson also serves on the Schwartz Center for the Arts’ Board of Directors.
