Bayhealth announces the appointment of John Desiderio, FACHE, MBA, as the new Administrative Director of Operations for both Bayhealth Kent General and Bayhealth Milford Memorial.
In this newly created role, Desiderio will oversee Diagnostic Imaging, Food Services, Retail, Volunteer Services and the Chaplaincy. Desiderio will help ensure better integration of these departments to improve service to patients.
“We’ll examine new and innovative opportunities to better coordinate these departments to serve our patients. Patient satisfaction will be priority one,” said Desiderio. “Integrated leadership will allow the clinical and non-clinical departments to work more collaboratively to elevate patient care. For example, patients from the nursing units may benefit from Volunteer Services having a greater presence on the nursing unit floors.
Prior to his new appointment, John Desiderio served as Bayhealth Director of Diagnostic Imaging for nine years and served in the diagnostic imaging profession for more than 20 years. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from Widener University and completed his Bachelors of Science in Education from Philadelphia Biblical University. Desiderio is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
