WHO: Bayhealth representatives and the da Vinci Si™ Surgical System Robot.
WHAT: Bayhealth demonstrates da Vinci Robotic Surgery!
WHEN: 1 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012
11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012
WHERE: Delaware Electric Cooperative’s Free Entertainment Tent at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington.
WHY: You’ve heard how the da Vinci® Si™ Surgical System Robot reduces pain and shortens recovery times for surgery patients. Now, here’s your chance to see and operate the da Vinci Robot at the Delaware State Fair.
The da Vinci Robot allows Bayhealth surgeons to make tiny, precise incisions that would be impossible by the human hand. The smaller incisions minimize post-surgical pain and let you get back to your daily routine more quickly. Da Vinci is used to perform a wide range of minimally invasive surgeries including prostatectomy, hysterectomy, myomectomy, coronary artery bypass, mitral valve repair, and colorectal surgery.
The da Vinci Robotic Surgical Demonstration will be informative and interactive. You will have a chance to operate the da Vinci and test your own ‘surgical’ skills.
Bayhealth surgeons will also be on hand to answer your questions about robotic surgery from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 20.
