Girl Scout Troop 505 visited Bayhealth Kent General last week to donate baby hats and burp cloths to Women’s Services. The gifts, handmade by the troop, will be presented to newborns and their parents at the hospital.

After learning to crochet and sew, Troop 505 completed the items in order to earn the Bronze Award, the highest honor a Junior Girl Scout can achieve. In total, each girl dedicated over 35 hours to classes and work on the baby gifts.

Terry Schrenker, Senior Manager of Volunteer Services, welcomed Troop 505 and their leader, Joy Bohn, to Bayhealth Kent General and accepted the baby hats and burp cloths on behalf of the hospital.
