ATTENTION:
Faculty Members and Students
Bayhealth physicians are implementing CPOE (computerized physician order entry) and will require access to all laptops and desk computers in the nurses' station areas.
I am asking you to refrain from gathering in the nurses' station area as the implementation of CPOE is rolled out.
Please use the WOWs (Workstation on Wheels) for referencing and charting patient information. Thank you!
We appreciate your support of our physicians as they begin using this exciting technology!
Please call me should you have concerns or questions.

Audits in 2013

Beginning January 2013, Bayhealth's Externship Coordinator, Paula Bodner, will come to your school to review/audit the student and faculty files for compliance. See the Faculty portion of the Bayhealth website for more details.
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Congratulations to the December graduates of 2012! We wish them well in pursuing their new careers.

Have a SAFE and HAPPY HOLIDAY and a great beginning to your New Year.
We look forward to seeing you in 2013!

Faculty Manual Changes....please see the section titled...
IV Medications and High Risk Medications
No changes have been made since the 2011-2012 edition. I deeply apologize for the error and hope you know that a major change like this would not be implemented without your input.
We want your students to have clinical experiences with managing IV solutions, setting up tubing/pumps, and hanging piggy- back medications.
A big "Thank You" to those of you who called or emailed questions about "the change". Your queries resulted in us finding the mistake and fixing it this afternoon. The Faculty Manual has been removed and the correct Faculty Manual should be posted no later than end of business day Monday 10/1/2012.

I appreciate your willingness to work with us as we continue to grow. Please encourage carpooling to the Bayhealth clinical sites as your students return to school in August. Clinical opportunities expand for your students as we continue our growth. Space in the parking garage will be limited this year.
Together, we can accommodate each other's needs. As I receive more information about parking I will forward this to you! Enjoy your summer.
Best regards,
