When to go to the Emergency Center

Staffed with specially trained physicians, nurses and technicians, our freestanding ER can handle and treat all urgent and emergency medical conditions including:

  • Chest pain
  • Stroke symptoms
  • Respiratory distress
  • Head injuries
  • Abdominal pain
  • Dehydration
  • Orthopedic injuries (broken bones)
  • Sports injuries (cuts or lacerations that require stitches)
  • Back pain

In the event of serious health issues that may require ancillary services, patients will be transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover after the patient has been stabilized. Radiology and lab services are on site, so evaluations can be made efficiently.
