Dr. Bargnesi came to Bayhealth from the University of Toledo College of Medicine, where he completed his residency and served as Chief Resident of General Urology Services and Chief Resident of Transplant Services. While there, he performed more than 100 kidney transplants and donor nephrectomies and more than 150 robotic surgical cases. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he served as President of the American Medical Student Association and conducted research projects in allergy and immunology and transplantation. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored a book chapter in clinical transplant medicine.
Dr. Bargnesi’s areas of interest are general urology as well as minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures and the use of the da Vinci robotic surgical system for urologic surgery.
Dr. Bargnesi is certified by the American Board of Urology, is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Urologic Association and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Bargnesi serves as a major in the US Army Reserve Medical Corps.
