Kefir Tolerated by Lactose-Intolerant Adults

Researchers believe microbes in this fermented milk -- called kefir -- possess the enzyme necessary to digest lactose. Kefir is slightly more expensive than plain milk. It tastes slightly tart and has the consistency of liquid yogurt.
