Graduate Nurses
Bayhealth believes in supporting graduates and provides a strong foundation for the novice nurse. Unit specific education is provided, ensuring that clinical aptitude is matched with the attitude to learn and grow professionally. We attract graduate nurses from over 30 "feeder" colleges and universities.

RN Refresher Course
Bayhealth and the University of Delaware have joined to create and offer the first online refresher course for registered nurses available through the University.

Offered in the spring, summer and fall semesters, the course is designed to update and enhance the nursing knowledge and clinical skills of registered nurses presently ineligible for endorsement or reinstatement of licensure in Delaware because they have been inactive in nursing practice for five or more years.

With 167.25 hours of practice theory and clinical practice required, the course nearly triples the minimum criteria of 60 hours (20 theory hours plus 40 clinical hours) set forth by the Delaware Board of Nursing. Participants receive 87.25 hours of theory instruction and 80 supervised clinical hours. Both components must be completed within six months from the time of course registration.
