Bayhealth received the 2009 Clinical Excellence Award for Overall Critical Care from HealthGrades, the nation’s leading healthcare ratings company. This award places Bayhealth’s clinical outcomes in the top ten percent nationally for each recognized area of care. In addition to being Ranked Best (#1) in Delaware for Overall Critical Care, Bayhealth was also Five-Star Rated for Treatment of Sepsis and Five-Star Rated for Respiratory Failure. Bayhealth’s 2009 HealthGrades Cardiac Care Achievements include being Ranked #1 in Delaware for Overall Cardiac Services in 2009, #1 in Delaware for Cardiac Surgery for two years in a row (2008 & 2009) and #1 in Delaware for Cardiology Services in 2009. Additionally, Bayhealth was Five-Star Rated for Valve Replacement Surgery for two years in a row (2008 & 2009), Five-Star Rated for Treatment of Heart Attack for two years in a row (2008 & 2009) and Five-Star Rated for Treatment of Heart Failure for three years in a row (2007 - 2009)

Bayhealth was named to the 2008 list of the Most Wired – the Most Improved by Hospitals & Health Networks® magazine and also received the 2008 McKesson Chairman’s Achievement Award.
Bayhealth received four 2008 Silver Annual Performance Awards from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. Both Kent General and Milford Memorial Hospital received two awards each for having 12 consecutive months of 85 percent or higher adherence to all performance measures in "Get with the Guidelines" latest evidence-based guidelines for Coronary Artery Disease and Heart Failure.
Bayhealth’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at Milford Memorial Hospital received a 2007 W. L. (Bill) Gore Award of Excellence for demonstrating high levels of performance excellence.
Bayhealth Home Care was named one of the Home Care Elite by Outcomes Concept Systems in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Bayhealth also received the Quality Leader Golden Apple Award from Quality Insights of Delaware in 2008.
