Visiting hours for special care units should be discussed with the patient's nurse. Depending on the condition of the patient, the nursing staff will determine visiting times for the family.
- Please use the courtesy phone/intercom outside each critical care unit to gain entry.
- In the event of an emergency, visitors may be asked to leave the unit and should do so promptly.
- Please discuss any special visiting needs or concerns with our staff.
- Visitors should be immediate family only, no children under 12.
In order to best meet patient needs and to help nurses caring for the patient, we ask that the family select one individual as the family spokesperson. The designated family spokesperson will be able to call the unit at any time for an inquiry and update on the patient. The rest of the family will be expected to contact the family spokesperson for timely updates. If a patient has opted out, information will not be given to anyone.
