  • Anesthesia services are available day and night, offering timely pain management options throughout labor and delivery.

Education That Builds Parent Confidence

We understand that preparing for birth and parenthood can feel overwhelming, especially if this is your first time. That’s why education is woven into everything we do. Our team includes board-certified obstetricians, neonatologists, maternal-fetal medicine physicians, pediatricians, certified nurse midwives, nurses and lactation consults. All members of our team are committed to helping you feel ready and supported.

We also welcome doulas as part of your support team. Doulas provide emotional, physical and informational support as an additional way for you to feel grounded and cared for during labor and birth.

To encourage bonding and help you learn your baby’s cues, we practice rooming-in, meaning your baby stays with you throughout your stay. This warm, family-centered approach helps parents build confidence in newborn care right from the start.

Because emotional well-being is just as important as physical health, we screen for postpartum depression and anxiety during pregnancy and after delivery, ensuring no one navigates this journey alone.

  • Level I Newborn Care for healthy, full-term babies
  • Initial stabilization for infants who need extra support

Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus

  • Level II Special Care Nursey (Level II NICU), staffed by board-certified neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners
  • Care for premature babies and full-term infants requiring closer observation and treatment

Our neonatal specialists are certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, ensuring the highest level of expertise for your baby’s care.
