Bayhealth Medical Center is offering fellowships to graduate nurses interested in being selected for these specialty areas:
- Critical Care (Intensive Care Unit)
- Emergency Room
- Labor & Delivery
- Medical/Surgical
- Orthopedics
- Oncology
- Gerontology
- Operating Room
- Rehabilitative Services
These 8 to 20 week fellowship programs combine class work and on-the-job training. Fellows will receive one-on-one training with an assigned preceptor during the entire fellowship program.
The acceptance into the fellowship programs are competitive, and the number of new graduates accepted each year may vary.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications must be completed by May 1st each year. All applications will undergo the Human Resources employment, recruitment, placement and transfer process in compliance with established hospital policy and equal Employment Opportunity laws.
(Bayhealth employees)
- Must have a "meets expectations" or higher evaluation
- No performance-related disciplinary actions within the last year
- Complete an Internal Application indicating your interest in the Nurse Fellowship Program
(Non-Bayhealth employees)
- Complete the Bayhealth Employment Application indicating your interest in the Nurse Fellowship Program
SELECTION PROCESS
Final selection will be based on overall qualifications for GN or RN with current licensing, good work history, and satisfactory completion of pre-employment physical, background and reference checks. This program is subject to all applicable Bayhealth employment policies and procedures.
