Bayhealth's outpatient women's centers are committed to meeting the special needs of women, going beyond diagnostic treatments such as mammographies, bone density testing, X-rays and lab work to meet unique physical and emotional needs through counseling, support groups and programs for women of all ages. Kent General Hospital
The Women's Center at Kent General is open Monday - Thursday: 7:45am - 6:30pm and Friday: 7:45am - 4:30pm. It is located on 540 South Governors Avenue, and can be reached at (302) 744-7400. Staffed by Radiology Technicians, Mammography Technicians and Ultrasound Technicians, the Women's Center offers the following services:

  • Mammogram (screening and diagnostic)
  • Ultrasound (female only; no vascular)
  • Bone Density (male and female)
  • Routine X-rays
  • Lab Work

Milford Memorial Hospital
Open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and located in the Medical Arts Building, Suite 3, the Women's Center at Milford Memorial Hospital can be reached at (302) 430-5540. Staffed by a Registered Nurse, Radiology Technicians, Mammography Technicians and Ultrasound Technicians, the Women's Center offers the following services:

  • Mammogram (screening)
  • Ultrasound (female only; no vascular)
  • Bone Density (male and female)
  • Stork's Nest Redemption

Women's Programs

The Stork's Nest
The Stork's Nest is a free program available to all expectant families. This educational and incentive program is designed to increase the number of women who receive early and regular prenatal care so their babies have a head start on a healthier life. Families earn points by keeping prenatal appointments and attending educational classes. As they accumulate points, they may redeem them at the Women's Center for gifts. Stork's Nest is open to all pregnant women who wish to participate, regardless of economic or insurance status. The program is a joint effort of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., the March of Dimes and Bayhealth. In Dover, Stork's Nest redemption is available at Women's Services, 6th floor and in Milford, at the Women's Wellness and Resource Center, in the Medical Arts Building, Suite 3.
