Kaci Coveleski is local Delawarean raised in Lewes and who just recently graduated this spring from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctorate in Pharmacy. She is very excited to return home and looking forward to her experience as one of the new PGY1 residents at Bayhealth.
Growing up, she felt inspired by her father, Dr. Peter Coveleski, to keep within the health care field so she decided to pursue a career in pharmacy. While at Northeastern she played on the Division 1 field hockey team for a successful five years. Through the co-op program she gained pharmacy experience home at Milford Memorial Hospital, back in Boston at a CVS and in a research lab. In her final year of pharmacy school she was attracted to the idea of working as a clinical pharmacist, which led her to apply for a PGY1 residency. She is hoping to expand her medical knowledge and clinical skills through a first-hand experience at Bayhealth.
Her current professional interests are in ambulatory care and oncology; however she feels that keeping an open mind throughout this learning process is important. Kaci is looking forward to challenging her self in the ever-changing medicinal world of pharmacy and to building new, while strengthening old relationships here working at Bayhealth.
