Bayhealth Medical Center offers a FREE Ostomy Support Group for people with “ostomies,” defined as a natural or surgical opening which connects an internal organ to the external environment (such as colostomies). The Ostomy Support Group is open to ostomy patients, family members, and their caregivers.

The support group meets to review new products, discuss new management techniques, and offer support and problem-solving techniques. Occasional speakers will also join the group on special topics. The group is led by Bayhealth Ostomy Nurses Carole Dye MSN, MBA, RN-BC, CNML, CWOCN, and Wendy Surguy, RN, BSN, CWOCN.

The support group meets from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month, alternating between Kent General Hospital and Milford Memorial Hospital. For additional information please call (302) 744-6691.
