Diversity Committee

We promise to look beyond the obvious to deliver the right care for every patient.

The Diversity Committee serves as a forum to explore the many aspects of diversity in healthcare; in regards to staff, as well as, patients and their families.

  • To allow the healthcare worker to identify their own potential bias’, feelings, value systems, and world views, as well as understanding one’s own diversity.
  • To increase the knowledge base of all employees of BMC in relation to cultural norms.
  • To utilize facets of the Magnet and Planetree initiatives that are currently established within BMC
  • To increase overall staff morale and patient satisfaction through enhanced communication strategies that are culturally sensitive.
