Dr. Ankomah completed a residency in family medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del., and received her medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School in Ghana.

Board-eligible in family medicine, Dr. Ankomah is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support and Neonatal Advanced Life Support. She is a member of the National Academy of Family Physicians and the Newcastle Academy of Family Physicians.
