Windsor Earns Rotary Club Award

04.18.2012

For her volunteer work helping patients in need, a Bayhealth employee has earned a prestigious Rotary Club award.

Bayhealth Patient Access Manager Judy Windsor recently earned the Paul Harris Fellow Award, named after the founder of the Rotary Club.  Windsor is recognized for her volunteering at the Volunteer Ambulatory Surgical Access Program (VASAP), in which uninsured or underinsured patients from the Hope Clinic and other Physician referrals may receive free surgeries from surgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff who donate their time.  Judy Windsor has volunteered in VASAP since 1995 and plays a vital role in processing the applications from Hope Clinic patients.

“I was very surprised and honored by this award.  It is very rewarding for me to support VASAP in helping our community,” said Windsor.

Windsor has served at Bayhealth Kent General for 35 years, including service as a switchboard operator, phlebotomist, and many other duties in the Patient Access departments.  As Patient Access Manager, Windsor leads the department which helps patients to get registered for treatment.
