Bayhealth Milford Memorial Food Service Employee Barbara Bunting has earned Employee of the Quarter for the First Quarter of 2012. Each quarter, Bayhealth recognizes employees who have demonstrated outstanding service, teamwork, and commitment to patient care. The winner receives a plaque, a $100 gift card, and a special Employee of the Quarter Parking Spot! Each Employee of the Quarter also becomes one of the finalists for Bayhealth Employee of the Year.

She shows a careful attention to detail, exceeds customer expectations, and is always reliable. For personifying Bayhealth’s commitment to service excellence, Assistant Cook Barbara Bunting has earned Employee of the First Quarter for Bayhealth Milford Memorial.
Since July of 2006, Bunting has served in Food Services, helping to prepare meals for cafeteria customers and patients, and fulfilling catering requests for the myriad of meetings held at the hospital.
“Barbara always provides a high level of customer service as the caterer. She has many times gone above and beyond to make sure each event is special and well done. She never leaves until we are sure we have everything we need,” said Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist Stacy Morgan, who nominated Bunting for Employee of the Quarter.
According to Morgan, Bunting’s catered events always feature exactly what is ordered, down to each meticulous detail. Food is always ready and on time and Bunting somehow manages to pull off those “last minute” requests for catering or food baskets. Bunting takes special attention to ensure each person in a meeting has what he or she needs. Her radiant smile charms all those around her. And, her culinary talents have delighted all those who’ve had the opportunity to sample her catered dishes and desserts.
“Barbara prepares many delicious dishes, from peanut butter fudge to chicken salad with cranberries. She’s constantly researching new recipes that we can use for catering and the cafe. People love this, and frequently request her special dishes,” said Stacy Morgan.
In addition to fulfilling her duties as Assistant Cook, Barbara Bunting is active in many hospital functions and special events. She serves on the Planetree Food Service Committee and earned the Planetree Spirit of Caring Award for Bayhealth Milford Memorial in 2010.
