Bayhealth will offer a two-day Breastfeeding Resource Nurse Program on Monday, August 20 and Tuesday, August 21. Presented by Lactation Education Resources, the program is sponsored by Bayhealth and co-sponsored by Delaware Health and Social Services WIC.
The seminar will be presented by Lactation Consultant Jane Bradshaw, RN, BSN, IBCLC. Ms. Bradshaw has been a lactation consultant and educator for more than 25 years, and currently is the manager and lactation consultant for Best Start Parenting Center.
This course prepares registered nurses and other health care personnel to function as breastfeeding experts in a hospital-inpatient setting. The two-day course focuses on the skills necessary to assist mothers to initiate breastfeeding and problem-solving common difficulties.
The course will be held in the General Foods Conference Center at Bayhealth Kent General. The registration fee of $70.00 for non-Bayhealth employees (no charge for Bayhealth employees) includes breaks, lunch, parking and syllabus materials.
