Bayhealth has appointed Effie Elliott, PT, DPT, as its new Director of Rehabilitation Services.
In this newly created position, Elliott will oversee acute care and outpatient services for Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies at both Bayhealth Kent General and Bayhealth Milford Memorial.
“Effie’s leadership will be vital as Bayhealth undergoes organizational changes designed to help better align resources to meet the growing challenges in health care, including health care reform, an aging population, and a continuing evolution of our clinical services,” said Bayhealth Vice President of Ancillary and Clinical Services Brad Kirkes, MBA, MHA, OTR/L, CHT.
Effie Elliott began her Bayhealth career 22 years ago when she joined Kent General Hospital as a staff physical therapist. Elliott was promoted to Manager of Physical and Occupational Therapy for Bayhealth Kent General in 2005. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana.
