Bayhealth Nurses Honored at Statewide Ceremony

Susan Ebaugh, MSN, APN, ACNS-BC, CEN, Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Meghan Holland, RN, MSN, CCRN, ACNS-BC, Nurse Manager of 2N and CVSICU, were honored at the Delaware Excellence in Nursing Practice Awards, held at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover. The annual award recognizes those nurses who consistently promote, excel, and bring a positive approach to their area of practice.Ebaugh won the award for the Advanced Practice category. Now in her 35th year as a nurse, she enjoys working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), particularly preparing staff to care for the wide variety of patients who visit Bayhealth’s Emergency Departments. A CNS also works to implement evidence-based practice and process improvements to create better patient outcomes, and Ebaugh has found great satisfaction in the teamwork and coordination she has experienced in this area.

Ebaugh earned her BSN degree at San Jose State University, California, and her MSN from the University of Delaware.

Holland won the Nurse Leader/Nurse Manager category. Since she came to Bayhealth ten years ago, she has enjoyed the blend of patient interaction and staff development her position offers. Working as the nurse manager of 2N-IMC and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units affords her an opportunity to improve the Bayhealth experience for patients and their families.
