Our Pediatric Services
Our care starts in the hospital when your baby arrives and continues as your child grows.
We also work with you to navigate the many choices you face in parenthood — from breastfeeding and nutrition to school sports and medication options. We work with you and your family to find solutions tailored to your child’s medical and personal needs.
These services include:
- Acute care (including same-day sick and telehealth appointments at certain locations)
- Management and support for chronic conditions such as asthma and allergies
- Mental and behavioral health services, including care for ADHD, autism, anxiety and depression
- Newborn care and lactation services
- Pediatric hospitalist care
- Coordination of specialty care, such as orthopedics and ear, nose and throat (ENT)
- Special Care Nursery for neonatal care
- Vaccines and immunizations
- Well-child exams (school and sports physicals)
If your child needs specialty treatment, we’ll coordinate their care with Bayhealth’s network of expert clinicians. As part of our coordination of your child’s care, we use MyChart to streamline the process of sharing your child’s medical needs and records with specialists throughout the Bayhealth system. Inpatient Pediatric Care
Bayhealth’s Pediatric Department is made up of pediatricians, hospitalists and specialized nursing and support staff members trained to meet the unique needs of children. If your child needs to be admitted for inpatient care, specialists are available 24/7 at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus
