Overview:
The Bayhealth Pharmacy Practice Residency Program is a one-year training program in a diverse healthcare practice setting.
The program provides experiences in a variety of settings, focusing on the core areas of practice specified in the ASHP Accreditation standards including patient care and practice management. Yet, the program is flexible enough to provide the resident with an opportunity to concentrate on a practice area of special interest.
Upon completion of the program, the pharmacist will be able to demonstrate effective organizational and integrative skills, and maintain a professional ethic.
Bayhealth Medical Center Pharmacy started its pharmacy practice residency program in 2003. The program was Surveyed in July 2004 and received ASHP accreditation in March 2005.
