Bayhealth Foundation Acknowledges Supporters and Shares Future Fundraising Plans
The Bayhealth Foundation is pleased to announce that the “quiet phase” of the effort has to-date raised over $8 million in gifts and commitments. More than 250 individuals, families and businesses have already stepped forward.
Thirty-two donors have committed at least $25,000 to the Campaign for Bayhealth – Phase III. These generous supporters account for nearly 93 percent of the total that’s been raised so far.
This fundraising effort aims to garner $15 million in support of Bayhealth’s new health campus in southern Delaware, which is slated to open in 2019 pending Certificate of Public Review approval.
The Campaign for Bayhealth – Phase III is led by Bayhealth, Inc. Board Member and Campaign Chair William “Bill” Strickland. The committee works closely with the Bayhealth Foundation staff and its president, Lindsay Rhodenbaugh, D.Min.
“We’re encouraged that we’ve been able to raise such a significant amount within the first several months of the campaign,” said Mr. Strickland. “It’s gratifying to discover that Bayhealth has such a large number of loyal, generous and dedicated donors.”
In 2016, the Campaign for Bayhealth – Phase III will focus on building stronger relationships with past supporters and reaching out to new donors in the community.
“The people of southern Delaware have always been proud of their hospital,” said Terry Murphy, president and CEO of Bayhealth. “Many of the early commitments are coming from those who have never made a significant gift to Bayhealth and those who are dramatically ramping up their support. We are enormously grateful.”
