Bayhealth Presents to Georgetown Chamber of Commerce

Thursday, September 2, 2021 | Bayhealth Foundation
As a regional healthcare leader, Bayhealth is the first in the area to launch Graduate Medical Education (GME) residency programs. These robust programs are improving access to care for everyone in our communities. The Bayhealth Foundation is partnering with the GME residency program directors to host events for community members to learn more about Bayhealth’s GME programs and the impact they will have on our area.

General Surgery Program Director Bradford Mitchell, MD, FACS, ECNU, recently spoke to the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce about the General Surgery Residency Program, including how it will provide greater access to top-notch surgical care for community members who need it. Beginning in July 2022, Bayhealth will welcome three new general surgery residents each year for a total of 15 in the program’s fifth year when operating at full capacity. The event also included a presentation by Bayhealth President and CEO Terry Murphy, FACHE, who shared other ways Bayhealth is caring for and serving our communities.
