Additional Info

In-training exams will be purchased, scheduled and proctored by the residency program. Residents will be reimbursed for one attempt of the USMLE Step 3 or COMLEX level 3 when applicable. Residents will not be reimbursed for any exam taken prior to the start of employment at Bayhealth.

Each resident receives 15 days of Paid Time Off per residency year, and 5 days of sick time per residency year. PTO and sick time do not roll over into the next academic year. Residents will receive 5 CME days in accordance with each individual residency program criteria.

Research Funds May Be Used For

• Materials needed to conduct research such as compensation for test subjects or purchase of materials

• Cost of printing and transporting posters

• Travel

• Room and board to present research at regional or national conference

• Expenditures for meals

• Use of research funds must be approved by the program

White Coats

All Residents

• All interns and first year fellows will receive three white coats during onboarding and one additional white coat at the beginning of each academic year

Scrubs

Emergency Medicine Residents

• Receive 4 sets of black scrubs during the intern year and an additional set each academic year
