UME Program Coordinator
Janna Knisley was born and raised in Delaware and has experienced care from Bayhealth firsthand, and as a family member. After a few years living in Virginia, when moving back to her home state, Bayhealth Medical Center was an ideal option for employment. Having worked in nonprofit, mental health, and public health care, stepping in the administrative side of healthcare was a great fit as a Front Office Assistant for the Bayhealth Medical Group. When the position of GME/UME Program Assistant became available, Janna felt it was time to learn something new and was happy to join the department. In 2023, she was promoted to the role of UME Program Coordinator and is proud to offer administrative support to Bayhealth’s medical students. She is pursuing a master’s degree in mental health and wellness, as well as doula certification to further impact her community. When she’s not at work or studying, Janna loves to spend time with her husband and pets (two dogs, two cats, and five chickens) read, or lounge at the beach.
