Bayhealth’s Alana King Named President Elect of Delaware Nurses Association

Bayhealth is proud to share that Alana King was named president-elect of the Delaware Nurses Association (DNA) at their nursing conference in November. King brings more than 20 years of experience in nursing practice, leadership, education and healthcare workforce development.

King is a registered nurse and workforce development specialist at Bayhealth. She began her nursing career in critical care after earning her LPN from Delaware Technical Community College, later completing an Associate Degree in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Wesley College. She spent 12 years providing bedside care in ICU and cardiovascular surgical units and has held leadership roles including care manager, clinical coordinator and relief house supervisor. She has also served as an adjunct nursing instructor at Wesley College and Delaware Technical Community College.

As President-Elect of the DNA, King hopes to strengthen collaboration across nursing specialties, advancing legislative advocacy and expanding professional development opportunities. The president-elect position is part of a four-year leadership commitment, including service as president and immediate past president.
