Bayhealth Sports Medicine Fellowship Receives ACGME Accreditation

Bayhealth is proud to announce that its Sports Medicine Fellowship has been granted initial accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). This one-year program marks an important milestone in Bayhealth’s commitment to expanding specialized training opportunities and delivering comprehensive musculoskeletal care to the community.

The Sports Medicine Fellowship at Bayhealth is designed to provide fellows with advanced clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of sports-related injuries and medical conditions. The program offers a dynamic educational environment that includes hands-on training in musculoskeletal ultrasound, joint injections, concussion management and sideline event coverage.

Led by Bayhealth Sports Medicine Physician and Program Director Terrence Tsui, DO, the fellowship will accept one fellow per year. The inaugural fellow is expected to begin training on July 1, 2026.

The accreditation follows a thorough evaluation of the program’s curriculum, faculty, clinical resources and commitment to patient care. As an ACGME-accredited fellowship, the program is now eligible to participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), offering applicants a transparent and standardized selection process.

The Sports Medicine Fellowship is the latest addition to Bayhealth’s expanding Graduate Medical Education offerings, which now include more than 100 residents and fellows annually across six specialties.
