Bayhealth Senior Vice President & Chief Nurse Executive Rosemary (Rosi) Wurster, DNP, RN, MPH, NEA-BC, FACHE joined the community in celebrating nurses on May 9 at Bayhealth Kent Campus in Dover, Del. Mayor Robin Christansen and City Councilman Brian E. Lewis presented a City Proclamation and Certificate of Recognition to the Bayhealth nursing staff in appreciation for all that they do in providing quality healthcare to the residents of the community. This recognition coincides with Nurses Week, a weeklong celebration that kicked off with National Nurses Day on May 6 and ended on May 12.

Wurster accepted this proclamation on behalf of all nurses to honor the invaluable contributions of nurses and the real-life challenges they face daily. “It is my honor to practice with this extraordinary team of nurses—I’m inspired by their dedication, caring hearts, and unwavering commitment to our patients and community," she said. "Nurses Week is a chance to shine a light on the outstanding care and commitment that define Bayhealth nursing.”

Bayhealth’s reputation for nursing excellence continues to grow. The organization has achieved milestone Magnet® designations through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This prestigious recognition—held by only about 9% of U.S. hospitals—reflects a sustained commitment to superior patient outcomes, high team engagement and a positive nursing practice environment.
