My Inspiration

My passion for healthcare began in childhood when I was a patient. My severe asthma and allergies limited many activities I wanted to enjoy. That changed when I met an allergist whose skill, compassion and exceptional bedside manner helped transform fear and uncertainty into confidence and peace of mind. It inspired me to pursue a healthcare career and provide that same level of care and reassurance to others. After graduating as valedictorian of my nursing class, I started at Bayhealth as a bedside nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), then the Neurosurgical ICU. The mentorship and support I received from the neurosurgery team motivated me to continue growing as a clinician and choose that specialty in my clinical training to be a nurse practitioner.

What I'm Passionate About

I am passionate about delivering compassionate, culturally competent care that helps every patient feel seen, heard and respected. As a member of the Hispanic community, I understand the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in healthcare and the role they play in building trust. I am proud to be bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with and care for a broader range of patients and families.

Off the Clock

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my son and supporting his passion for martial arts and equestrian sports. I love exploring new cities and learning about different cultures along the way. I am also an avid reader and especially enjoy classic literature.
