Andrew Ward, MD, specializes in maternal-fetal medicine.
From the time he was a young child and for as long as he can remember, Dr. Ward wanted to be a doctor. In an OB-GYN rotation during his third year of medical school, he discovered how inspiring and gratifying it was to essentially treat two patients at one time, and be involved in the dynamics of how mother and baby affect one another’s health through each stage of pregnancy.
Dr. Ward is passionate about the maternal-fetal medicine specialty and reading up on the latest research on pregnancy care and management so that he can share his knowledge and the most current information to keep his patients healthy. With children of his own, he understands the ups and downs of becoming a parent and demonstrates compassion that helps women through what may be the best times in their lives or some of the most challenging.
In medical school, Dr. Ward was voted by his fellow medical students as the recipient of the Lamar Ekbladh Teaching Award for his dedication to educating others. He earned several more research and teaching awards during his residency. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Aside from his work, he enjoys working out at the gym, skiing, and above all, spending time with his two daughters.
