My Inspiration

My oldest daughter had kidney issues as a young child and at age 3 she had to have surgery. I decided at that time I would like to go into the medical field so that I could gain knowledge to help my family members and others in the community. My education has been a blessing to my family. I first started with Bayhealth as a new RN graduate and it’s exciting to bring my experience back to where I formed the foundation in my medical career. I enjoy helping others navigate through the complicated medical system.

What I’m Passionate About

Through my more than 20 years in the medical profession, helping others is what fulfills me most. I always think about how it would be to walk in the shoes of my patients. I believe it is just as important to have empathy for all patients as it is to have the proper knowledge when providing patient care. I particularly enjoy working with patients who live with HIV. I also see potential to reach out to both males and females to educate more people about PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) so they know there are FDA-approved medications that can protect against HIV infection.

Off the Clock

My family is my world. I have three grown children and six granddaughters. I enjoy summer days at the beach, walking on the boardwalk, or biking on the bike trail in Lewes. I love to bake during the holidays.
