About

My Inspiration

I was inspired to pursue a career as a palliative care nurse practitioner after witnessing the profound difference that quality, compassionate care can make for individuals living with serious illnesses. I saw firsthand how patients who were informed about their options for care and support experienced a better quality of life, while others struggled unnecessarily without that guidance. Realizing the impact I could have in helping patients and families navigate these challenges is what ultimately led me to choose this specialty.

What I’m Passionate About

I’m passionate about connecting with patients, helping manage their symptoms, and offering meaningful support. I spent the first 10 years of my career at Bayhealth and worked in palliative care before transitioning to a primary care practice out of state. I deeply missed the work and the personal connections I was able to foster through palliative care. That passion ultimately guided my decision to return to the Bayhealth Palliative Care team, and I’m grateful to continue contributing to the well-being and quality of life of our patients and their families.

Off the Clock

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, whether we’re attending their sporting events, cheering on the Orioles or relaxing on the Chesapeake Bay.

My Commitment to You

My commitment to patient care means prioritizing the dignity, comfort and well-being of every patient. It involves providing compassionate, individualized and evidence-based care, advocating for patients’ needs and fostering trust through clear, respectful communication.
