Mable Tsui, DO, is a board-certified family medicine doctor who’s also a specialist in osteopathic manipulative medicine.
Growing up, Dr. Tsui had an outstanding primary care physician who took care of her and her family. This inspired her to want to become a doctor to provide that same level of care to families today.
After her medical schooling and residency, she completed an additional year of training in osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine to advance her skills of osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). This is a set of hands-on treatments used by doctors of osteopathic medicine (DOs) for diagnosis and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions to decrease pain and improve functionality. OMT can be used on patients of any age. It can be used to treat a wide variety of ailments, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Dr. Tsui sees newborn to geriatric patients and enjoys having whole families in her care. Getting to know each patient individually as a person and the stories behind them, aside from just their medical history, is the most gratifying aspect of her work. She also believes this is an important component in building strong doctor-patient relationships.
In her spare time, Dr. Tsui likes to stay fit through weight lifting and strength training activities. She also enjoys the outdoors and hiking, along with her husband who is also a Bayhealth physician.
