My Inspiration
From an early age, I was drawn to the idea of fixing things—taking something broken and making it functional again. In medical school, I quickly realized that orthopedic surgery combined that mechanical aspect with the human element in a profound way. The ability to help someone regain mobility and independence after a serious injury is incredibly motivating. I was attracted to trauma surgery in particular because of the opportunity to make a real impact when patients are at their most vulnerable.
What I’m Passionate About
I’m passionate about helping someone walk again after a serious injury, or seeing them return to work, hobbies or family life. Every patient has a unique story and being part of their recovery is a privilege. I specialize in complex fracture care, periarticular injuries, post-traumatic reconstruction, nonunion (fractures that haven’t healed), malunions (fractures that have healed in a non-anatomic alignment) and orthopedic infections. I have published research and presented at national conferences on various topics in orthopedic traumatology including innovations in fracture fixation, trauma system optimization and postoperative care.
Off the Clock
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active—whether it’s playing soccer, tennis, skiing or spending time with my family. Family is a big part of my life, and we love exploring locally and internationally.
My Commitment to You
My philosophy of care revolves around precision, communication and compassion. Trauma can be life-altering, and my goal is to treat not just the injury, but the whole patient. I prioritize collaboration with patients, families and the entire care team for the best outcomes possible and ensure that patients and families fully understand their treatment options, recovery process and long-term prognosis. I believe that teamwork and trust are at the heart of excellent medicine, and I am committed to building relationships with patients, colleagues and the broader community as I deliver high-quality, timely orthopedic trauma care.
