About

My Inspiration

My path to becoming a physician was shaped by a strong desire to help people in critical moments and to apply hands-on skills to improve lives. I was drawn to general and acute care surgery—the immediate surgical treatment of those who are critically ill or injured—because it requires decisive thinking, technical precision and the ability to make a real difference, often when patients need it most.

What I’m Passionate About

My passion lies not only in delivering excellent surgical outcomes, but in creating a sense of trust and reassurance for every patient in my care. My surgical focus includes hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery and emergency abdominal procedures. I also enjoy mentoring younger clinicians, sharing both surgical knowledge and the values that define good care: integrity, empathy and commitment to excellence.

Off the Clock

Outside of work, I’m committed to my family and advocate for individuals with special needs and autism in particular. I have been inspired through our experience in helping one of our sons who is on the autism spectrum maximize his potential. That experience has deepened my appreciation for personalized, respectful care. I’m an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoy spending time at the Delaware beaches with my family. I also love traveling with my wife and actively support community initiatives that promote education and health.

My Commitment to You

I am committed to developing positive, trusting relationships with my patients. I bring a depth of experience to every patient interaction, along with a commitment to treating people with honesty, skill and compassion. I believe that active listening is essential—every patient deserves to be heard and understood. In the operating room (OR), I hold myself to the highest standard of detail and precision to deliver excellent surgical results. Whether I’m in the OR, consulting with a patient or mentoring a trainee, my goal is always the same: to serve with integrity and to help people live healthier lives.
