Preeti Gupta, MD

Bayhealth Family Medicine Physician Preeti Gupta, MD, cares for patients at her practice in Milford, Delaware. She is board certified in obesity with special interests in preventative care and value-based care.

Developing close relationships and working alongside patients in their health journey is a priority to Dr. Gupta. In her experience, she has found that making time for patients to feel heard, respected and known encourages healthier living. She educates her patients about their health, while keeping a listening ear open to learn varying perspectives. Dr. Gupta greatly appreciates her staff as they work together in a collaboration to advocate for their patients.

Dr. Gupta has been practicing medicine for over 17 years — she first received her medical degree from Prava Rural Medical College in India. From there, she spent three years in family and private practices in New York. She moved to Delaware in 2008 and has been with Bayhealth ever since.

She is very involved in Bayhealth’s Accountable Care Organization (ACO), which promotes annual wellness visits, preventative medicine and clinical coordination. Dr. Gupta recognizes that a patient’s concerns and experiences contribute to their overall care and treatment so it’s vital to allow them to be part of their own healthcare team.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Gupta loves spending time with her family. She truly loves raising her family in the beautiful state of Delaware. Some of her favorite pastimes include cooking delicious food and traveling around to new locations with her loved ones.
