About

Rabab Nasim, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care physician who specializes in treating disorders of the respiratory system and caring for patients with very serious or critical illnesses.

Growing up in India, she loved science and had a strong desire to help people and serve humanity. In medical school she developed a fascination with the lungs and the wide range of lung diseases and how they could be treated. Working with the sickest of patients, she felt a deep connection with the individuals and families she cared for, and she knew that being a doctor was a natural fit for her.

Dr. Nasim’s philosophy of care is to be an advocate for her patients. For those struggling with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, or other respiratory illnesses related to smoking, environmental exposures or genetics, she helps patients take charge of their health and better manage their conditions for an improved quality of life.

In addition to providing pulmonary medicine in the practice setting, Dr. Nasim offers highly specialized and compassionate care for hospitalized patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). Helping patients recover from a life-threatening illness or providing care and comfort to them and their loved ones in their most difficult moments are among the most fulfilling aspects of her daily work.

Dr. Nasim is passionate about global health and works with a platform to study and address healthcare, and lung health needs specifically, in other countries around the world. In her spare time, she also loves to travel, hike, enjoy nature, and explore cuisines from different cultures.
