The Bayhealth Heart & Vascular Institute is dedicated to giving patients reliable heart test results using a team-based approach. Our facilities are located across Kent and Sussex counties and each offer a range of heart screenings. The following tests are available at Bayhealth Cardiovascular Diagnostics, Dover, Eden Hill:

• Echocardiogram: A device uses sound waves to make a picture of your heart. It shows if your heart and valves are working the right way.

• Cardiac Monitor: This is a small device you wear on your chest. It records your heart’s activity for one day to 30 days.

• Cardiac Stress Test: This test checks how your heart works when you exercise and then when you rest.

• Multiple Gated Acquisition (MUGA) Scan: A small amount of radioactive material is used to take pictures of your heart. It shows how well your heart pumps blood when you rest or after exercise.

• Vascular Ultrasound: This test uses sound waves to make pictures of blood vessels in your arms or legs.
