Bayhealth Celebrates Graduates of 11th Annual Project SEARCH Program
Bayhealth is proud to announce the graduation of its 11th cohort of Project SEARCH interns. The graduation ceremony, held recently at Bayhealth Kent Campus, included a celebratory clap-out with team members applauding the graduates along the hallway of one of the hospital’s pavilions.
Project SEARCH is a unique, business-led, one-year school-to-work transition program that equips high school graduates with intellectual and developmental disabilities for success in the workforce. Throughout the year, participants complete three rotational internships in various Bayhealth departments, gaining hands-on experience and essential workplace skills with the ultimate goal of achieving gainful employment.
“Being a part of this program has been a true privilege, with over 100 interns graduating in the last 11 years,” said Angeline Dewey, MSN, RN, APRN, ACNS-BC, CCRN, CNRN, Bayhealth’s senior director, Clinical Practice & Professional Development. “We invite the community to join us in applauding the graduates for their achievements.”
