Bayhealth Welcomes Pulmonologist Dr. Gianniosis

Bayhealth Medical Group is pleased to announce the addition of pulmonologist and critical care physician, and advanced bronchoscopist Margarita (Maggie) Gianniosis, MD. Dr. Gianniosis joins a team of skilled clinicians committed to patient-centered care at Bayhealth Pulmonology, Blue Hen in Dover.

Dr. Gianniosis specializes in diagnosing and treating lung and respiratory conditions, with a special interest in lung cancer. She also serves as one of the lead physicians in Bayhealth’s new Ion by Intuitive® robotic bronchoscopy program. She comes to Bayhealth from Lankenau Medical Center, a Main Line Health hospital, in Penn Wynne, Pennsylvania after completing her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care and serving as Chief Fellow her final year.

Originally from Canada, Dr. Gianniosis began her medical training in London, England, at City St. George’s, University of London, and subsequently completed her medical education at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

At Bayhealth, Dr. Gianniosis hopes to bring greater lung cancer awareness, early detection and timely diagnosis to those most at risk in Kent and Sussex counties.
