Bayhealth is proud to welcome fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon and director of orthopedic trauma Marek Denisiuk, DO. In addition to trauma work at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, Dr. Denisiuk joins the Bayhealth Orthopedics, Dover practice. Dr. Denisiuk is committed to improving outcomes for patients suffering from serious and complex traumatic injuries, and he is accepting new patients for follow up care.

Bayhealth Orthopedics has practices in Dover, Smyrna and at the Sussex Campus in Milford. He joins fellow Bayhealth Orthopedic surgeons Darshdeep Singh, DO; John Burger, DO; Andrew Gambone, MD; Andrew Park, MD; and Henry DeGroot III, MD; sports medicine physicians Terrence Tsui, DO; and George Umeh, MD; podiatrist Dimitrios Moustakas, DPM; and numerous physician assistants and nurse practitioners. They are part of Bayhealth Medical Group, a partnership of highly trained physicians and advanced practice clinicians and teams that operates medical offices throughout Delaware.

Prior to joining Bayhealth, Dr. Denisiuk completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship and provided care at the Georgia Orthopedic Trauma Institute at Atrium Health in Macon, Georgia. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University – Henry Ford Macomb-Oakland Hospital (formerly Ascension), where he was recognized for leadership and excellence in patient care. He earned a medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He has additional degrees in biomedical sciences and biomedical engineering.

Dr. Denisiuk has contributed to a number of peer-reviewed publications in the field of orthopedic trauma. His work has explored innovations in fracture fixation, trauma system optimization and postoperative care. He also has presented at national conferences including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.

Dr. Denisiuk provides complete surgical care for patients with complex musculoskeletal injuries, including high-energy fractures, periarticular trauma, pelvic and acetabular injuries, post-traumatic deformities, nonunions, malunions and bone infections (osteomyelitis).
