It’s a Girl! First New Year’s Baby at Bayhealth Born at 4:33 a.m.
Bayhealth is proud to announce the first babies delivered in 2026. Najah Rouse of Dover, Delaware welcomed a baby girl named “Autumn” at 4:33 a.m. at the Bayhealth Kent Campus, weighing 5 pounds 10 ounces and 19 inches long. The Bayhealth Sussex Campus welcomed its first New Year’s baby—a boy named “Erian”—on Jan. 2 at 6:44 a.m. He arrived weighing 7 pounds 10 ½ ounces and 20 ¾ inches long.

The families and babies received a special Bayhealth gift tote to commemorate the extraordinary arrival including a blanket, sleep sack, stuffed animal and other items new parents might need.
