About

Aaron Sigler, DO, is a board-certified neurosurgeon who performs a range of surgeries involving the head and spine and has expertise in minimally invasive techniques to treat tumors of the brain and skull base.

Dr. Sigler was born and raised in Sussex County, Delaware. He graduated from Seaford High School and University of Delaware before moving out of state to attend medical school, complete his residency in neurological surgery, and pursue advanced fellowship training in his specialty field. He worked as a neurosurgeon with Tulane University Medical Group and was an assistant professor at Tulane School of Medicine’s Center for Clinical Neurosciences in New Orleans, Louisiana.

As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Sigler takes a whole-person approach to care. Rather than simply treating symptoms, he looks at each patient’s unique needs and how they align as he develops a treatment plan to enhance their overall wellbeing. He partners with patients to discuss the best next steps to improve their health and quality of life, and carefully considers whether surgery is the right path for them.

Dr. Sigler completed fellowship training in open and advanced endoscopic techniques to treat brain and skull base tumors at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. These procedures allow him to reach areas of the brain using a flexible tube through the nose, avoiding a large incision or the need to remove parts of the skull. This results in a quicker and smoother recovery for patients. Dr. Sigler also offers other types of neurosurgical care for the head and back, including spinal surgery.

When he’s not working, Dr. Sigler loves using his culinary skills to cook gourmet meals and mix delicious cocktails to enjoy with friends. He also enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy novels, listening to all kinds of music, target and trap shooting, and anything to do with Japanese culture such as sushi and samurai.
