Adaobi Enekwizu, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician.
Looking up to her mother, a nurse who worked tirelessly in a community health center, Dr. Enekwizu knew from a young age she wanted to follow in her footsteps of selflessly dedicating herself to patients’ wellbeing. Being a physician provided her a platform to serve her community, which was another driving force in her career choice.
During her medical training and to this day, she was and continues to be inspired by the challenges and joys of being a pediatrician—sharing the high and lows together with families and being a pivotal part of their lives as she cares for and nurtures children, and advocates for their wellbeing. Dr. Enekwizu is a strong believer in a humanistic approach to her work by practicing evidence-based medicine with sensitivity, empathy and respect.
Dr. Enekwizu is also passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients. Viewing healthcare as a collaborative effort between a physician, patients and their families to achieve common wellness goals, she instills the importance of making good choices early, and helps them stay on a healthy path.
When she’s not working with other families, Dr. Enekwizu loves to spend quality time with her own, particularly her two daughters. She also enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, as well as reading.
